Challenge

Create an online store that faithfully reflects the in-store experience of the brand’s physical locations across Latin America. This challenge required meticulous attention to detail, as it was crucial to maintain the brand’s exclusivity and prestige in the digital environment.

Although the brand already had an online presence, its focus was still on traditional retail sales. However, the company recognized the need to adapt to new digital market realities and explore new sales strategies, such as launching an e-commerce platform for Latin America.

The main goal was not only to sell but also to strengthen the brand, showcase its products, and offer a unique and exclusive shopping experience. In summary, the challenge was to:

To achieve this goal, we implemented a series of innovative strategies that challenged traditional UX standards. From in-depth industry trend research to meticulous design and symbolic personalization of the purchase process, every element was carefully considered to create an experience worthy of the brand. Key initiatives included:

1. Prioritizing the Brand Experience

Striking hero banner: The main banner on the website was designed with an editorial aesthetic, similar to that of a high-end magazine. This elegant and sophisticated design presents the brand and its products attractively, maintaining an image of exclusivity and high quality. Unlike other e-commerces, this site does not aim to push sales at any cost—it positions itself as an extension of the brand. We recommended limiting banners to 3 to 4 to avoid visual overload and preserve exclusivity.

No promotions: The brand prioritizes perception and prestige above all else, seeking global recognition through an experience that reinforces its image. As such, its e-commerce does not follow the traditional discount and promotion logic. This strategy aims to preserve product value and focus on quality and exclusivity, avoiding any form of devaluation.

2. Pixel Perfect Design

In the Latin American e-commerce site, pixel perfect execution was essential to maintain visual consistency and deliver a premium experience aligned with the brand’s global look & feel. Every visual element was adjusted with millimetric precision to ensure brand identity fidelity. We conducted a detailed analysis of the brand’s websites in Europe and Asia, incorporating interactions and hover effects to create an attractive and cohesive navigation experience. The result is a consistent experience tailored to the Latin American audience.

3. Customized Checkout

A vertical checkout flow was implemented using the VTEX Checkout Custom app. This solution ensures seamless integration between design and functionality, delivering a smooth shopping journey in line with the brand’s proposition.

The checkout customization demonstrated how digital solutions can be adapted to the specific needs of a business. One example was changing the shopping cart icon based on customer feedback—attention to detail that reinforces the sense of exclusivity. Additionally, terms like “free” or “free shipping” were replaced with “complimentary,” reinforcing the brand’s premium and sophisticated tone.
